Money and Happiness Pt 2.
Monetizing happiness
SM UPDATE:
I now have been without an IG for over 24 hours and it is sad to admit how many times I have reached for my phone to open IG.
However, there is a sense of freedom that I am thoroughly enjoying.
Now back to our topic from Monday.
Money and Happiness.
If you recall Monday’s article I was honest about people not being happy with their financial situation.
and I stand by that.
Are you happy with your finances? I’m sure you are not.
You could always use more $$$.
So why do we demonize money and happiness?
Why can’t they intermingle and be seen as part of the continuum of life?
Because sometimes what makes you happy doesn’t always become profitable.
So how do we profit from what makes us happy?
Could you monetize what makes you happy and turn it into a business?
Sure you could.
Should you do it?
Hell no!
Now, hear me out.
It sounds like a good plan right, do the thing that makes you happy and make money doing it.
It is just not that simple.
Especially when we are talking about creating your own business around what makes you happy.
It turns out, that the moment you monetize your happiness, it no longer becomes something you enjoy.
It becomes something you MUST do in order to create a stable financial situation for yourself.
Is that something you really want?
To take something that makes you happy and make it into something that you may not enjoy as much in the future, simply because you monetize it?
Think about it.
More to come on Part 3 of Money and Happiness.
